Educational Design

We believe that the tools of entertainment and immersion have a far greater role to play in the future and we work tirelessly to find novel ways to combine game-based and other forms of digital learning with educational needs. Again this work spans our careers, from creation of the first environmental comics, to creations of the first multimedia teaching system for Apple Computer (currently in the Smithsonian).

We are currently working closely with DARPA and the Gates Foundation on next-generation game based learning in STEM and SEL domains, with a focus on futuristic space-based massively multiplayer learning experiences that can be crowd sourced and use embedded metrics systems to validate efficacy and tailor lessons.

This learning will be invaluable in permitting us to create the next generation of educational designs. We have been involved in self-funded previsualization of such a space-based MMO for a few years now.
